Sakai City Big Bang is a large-scale, all-weather indoor children's center located in Minami-ku, Sakai City, Osaka. The facility is built around a captivating space theme, with each floor offering diverse play areas designed to match the interests and developmental stages of children. Because it is a fully indoor facility, visitors can enjoy a comfortable experience regardless of rain, extreme heat, or cold weather. The structure consists of four floors, each with a unique theme, ensuring that everyone from toddlers to adults can find something engaging to do.
The facility is organized by themed floors. The 1st floor, "Cosmo Port," serves as the gateway to space, featuring a dedicated area for babies, a picture book corner, and relaxation spaces. The 2nd floor, "Space Factory," focuses on creativity and hands-on making activities. On the 3rd floor, "Astro Camp," visitors can engage in more active, physical play. The 4th floor offers spaces designed for learning through play. Additionally, the facility incorporates modern technology, such as AR (Augmented Reality) exhibits and trick art experiences on the stairs, blending digital innovation with physical play.
As a fully indoor facility, it is accessible and enjoyable in any season. During long school holidays like summer or spring break, the facility often remains open even on Mondays, making it a reliable choice for family outings. Operating hours are from 10:00 to 17:00, with the last entry at 16:30. While you can enter in the late afternoon, we recommend visiting in the morning or early afternoon to ensure plenty of time for play. Please note that maintenance-related closures may occur in September or January; it is highly recommended to check the official website before your visit.
