The Mozu Kofun Tumuli Visitor Center opened in March 2021 as a hub to communicate the value and appeal of the Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The facility houses an exhibition corner where you can learn about the history and culture of the Kofun tumuli, and a theater offering an immersive experience using the latest video technology. The theater features 8K high-definition aerial footage of the Kofun group and a virtual experience of the interior of the stone chamber of the Nintoku Tenno Mausoleum. You'll witness the magnificence of the Kofun group and be amazed by the advanced technology and artistry of the ancient people. The exhibition corner provides clear explanations of the formation process of the Kofun group, unearthed artifacts, and the daily lives of the people at that time. A tourist information center is also located within the facility, providing information on sightseeing around the Kofun group. Bicycle rentals are also available, allowing you to enjoy cycling through the Kofun group.
