Overview

Zenbo Seinei is a Zen meditation facility that opened in April 2022. It was designed by architect Shigeru Ban, a Pritzker Architecture Prize winner, often called the Nobel Prize of architecture. The building, featuring a 100-meter-long Zen meditation space, is an impressive sight. Both day trip and overnight plans are available, offering experiences such as Zen meditation, tea ceremony, and flower arrangement. The meals are healthy Shojin cuisine supervised by fermented food chef, Noriaki Fushiki, and contain no animal products, wheat flour, oil, or sugar. You can heal your mind and body and spend a mindful time in the rich nature of Awaji Island.
