The Hachimantai Aspite Line is a roughly 27km-long driveway connecting Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture, and Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture. Traversing the 1,613m-high Hachimantai, it offers stunning natural scenery and diverse landscapes. Closed during winter due to heavy snowfall, the spring opening reveals the spectacular "Snow Corridor" – snow walls lining the road. The Snow Corridor, especially breathtaking from late April to early May, presents a stunning contrast of white snow against the azure sky, creating a magical atmosphere. The Iwate Prefecture section provides magnificent views of Mount Iwate and Hachimantai. Springtime showcases blooming alpine flowers and vibrant fresh greenery, making it an ideal driving experience.
