FUJIYAMA Twin Terrace is a scenic viewpoint in Ashikawa-cho, Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, offering stunning panoramic views of Mount Fuji. Located near the summit of Shindo Pass, it provides breathtaking views of Mount Fuji against the backdrop of Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. The two terraces offer different perspectives to enjoy the majestic mountain. The First Terrace offers a frontal view of Mount Fuji, making it a popular spot for capturing stunning photographs. The Second Terrace, located slightly higher, offers a wider panoramic view. Due to car restrictions, access to FUJIYAMA Twin Terrace requires using a free shuttle bus from the designated parking area. The shuttle bus stop is at the entrance facility, "Lily Bell Hütte (Rirīberu Hyutte)". "Lily Bell Hütte" features a cafe and souvenir shop, where you can also purchase shuttle bus tickets. The shuttle bus operates from late April to late November. Around FUJIYAMA Twin Terrace, you can find "Sawazuma-tei," a restaurant serving dishes made with locally grown vegetables, and "Goggosou-ke," a farmers' market selling produce cultivated with care by local farmers. These offer a taste of rural Japanese life. Moreover, from June to September, you can observe the migration of the beautiful Asagi Madara butterfly. This butterfly is known for its remarkable long-distance migration, traveling over 1,000 kilometers across the sea. Keep an eye out for these graceful butterflies during your visit!
