Nagaoka City Momiji Park, located in Echiji District, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, is a historically rich and naturally beautiful spot, originally built as a wealthy farmer's villa garden in the Meiji era. Within its approximately 4,000 square meter grounds, various plants thrive, including maple trees over 150 years old, mountain cherry blossoms, and azaleas.
The park's highlight is undoubtedly the autumn foliage. Vibrantly colored maple leaves fill the park, creating a magical landscape. Especially at night, the light-up adds a different charm to the daytime view.
Beyond the autumn foliage season, the park offers beautiful scenery year-round: cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, and the fiery colors of autumn. Well-maintained walking paths allow for leisurely strolls, fully immersing visitors in nature.
The park also features the "Haganegaoka Sanso" building, used for various events such as tea ceremonies and exhibitions.
