Overview

Okuyama Park, located in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a beautiful park where you can enjoy stunning flowers throughout the year, especially the cherry blossoms in spring and hydrangeas in early summer. In spring, approximately 1,000 cherry trees burst into bloom, painting the park in a breathtaking pink hue. During peak bloom, the park is bustling with visitors. Evening light-ups during the cherry blossom season create a magical atmosphere, quite different from the daytime view. Early summer sees approximately 3,000 hydrangea plants in full bloom, their vibrant purple flowers creating a scene that feels almost dreamlike. A wide variety of hydrangeas, in shades of pink, white, and blue, add to the spectacle. The park features a pond with a charming bridge called "Yume no Uki-bashi" (Dream Floating Bridge). The reflection of the flowers in the water from the bridge offers a truly stunning view. Benches around the pond provide perfect spots to relax and enjoy the scenery.
