Overview

Heiwa Koen (Peace Park) is a park developed as part of a large-scale post-war land readjustment project. While initially known primarily for having consolidated many city cemeteries, it's now renowned as a cherry blossom hotspot, attracting numerous visitors each spring. Approximately 2,300 cherry trees grace the park, creating a stunning display of pink blossoms during peak season. In the southern part of the park lies Kajikoden, an area with preserved natural forest and well-maintained walking paths perfect for a relaxing stroll. Neko-gado-ike Pond is a popular fishing spot. The Metasequoia Plaza hosts various events, serving as a hub for community interaction. Heiwa Koen is a captivating park where history and nature blend harmoniously.
