Tsunon Jinja Shrine is located in Tsunon-cho, Koyu-gun, Miyazaki Prefecture. It's known as a Shikinaisha shrine and Hyūga-no-ichi-no-miya (the most important shrine in Hyūga Province). The enshrined deity is Ōnamuchi-no-mikoto, revered as a god of matchmaking, family prosperity, business success, and medicine. The shrine's history is ancient, with its founding said to date back to around the 8th century. Over the centuries, it has garnered the faith of many and holds a cherished place within the local community.
