INFO
Yuushimori Park is a park developed in the Yuushimori Valley, a gorge located in Kawakami, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture. Situated along the Kawakami River, a tributary of the Kiso River, it was established in 1960 by the former Kawakami Village. The park is part of the Gifu Prefecture's Ura-Kiso Prefectural Natural Park. Within the park, you can find five stunning waterfalls: Ryujin no Taki, Wasure-uroko no Taki, Douana no Taki, Aze no Taki, and Hitotsu no Taki, making it perfect for waterfall-themed hikes. Two campgrounds, complete with comfortable bungalows, offer families a relaxing and convenient place to stay. In spring, the park bursts with cherry blossoms, azaleas, and a vibrant array of flowers. Summer brings lush greenery and the refreshing coolness of the clear stream. Autumn paints the valley in breathtaking colors with over 15,000 maple trees creating a truly stunning spectacle. Due to the area's history as a Kiso Hinoki (Japanese cypress) producing region, many maple trees have been planted in recent years. The annual 'Yuushimori Momiji Matsuri' (Yuushimori Maple Festival) is typically held from early November. Yuushimori Park offers a wealth of natural beauty and activities, including hiking, camping, and fishing, catering to visitors of all ages. It's a park for everyone, so come and experience it for yourself!
