Beautiful waterfall flowing like silk from lush rock faces
Doryu-no-taki Waterfall is located in Kawamata Valley in Kiyosato Kogen, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It's a 10-meter high and 15-meter wide waterfall. The water cascading down the lush, green rock face is breathtakingly beautiful, like flowing silk. The water remains refreshingly cool and pure year-round, harmonizing perfectly with the surrounding nature to create an atmosphere reminiscent of a Japanese garden.
This waterfall was formed by groundwater from the southeastern foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains flowing through a lava layer. This explains the consistently cool, pure water and stable water volume throughout the year.
A well-maintained walking path allows for leisurely strolls. While walking, you can enjoy the soothing sounds of the clear water and birdsong, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Moreover, vibrant greenery in spring and stunning autumn foliage make it a beautiful destination year-round.
Doryu-no-taki Waterfall is a highly recommended sightseeing spot to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Listen to the calming sound of the water, breathe in the abundance of negative ions, and refresh your mind and body.
