Wadatsumi Shrine is a shrine located in Tsushima City, Nagasaki Prefecture, dedicated to Hikohonodeminomikoto and Toyotamahime-no-mikoto. An ancient dragon palace legend remains, telling of how Toyotamahiko-no-mikoto, the sea god, built a palace here, naming this location "Otohime." Five torii gates stand in a straight line within the shrine grounds, two of which rise from the sea, creating a breathtaking sight.
Behind the main shrine lies a primeval forest of giant trees, offering a serene atmosphere perfect for forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku). The shrine also features other legendary spots, including the mystical "Tama no I" well, said to grant romantic fulfillment, and the three-pillar torii gate and turtle-shaped stone beside the offering hall.
