Overview

Utsubuna Park is a nature-rich park located in Nanbu-chō, Yamanashi Prefecture. Situated on a gently rising hill at an elevation of approximately 400 meters, it offers magnificent views of the Fuji River and the town of Nanbu-chō. The park features approximately 30,000 hydrangea plants, creating a vibrant spectacle every June during the 'Nanbu Ajisai Matsuri' (Nanbu Hydrangea Festival). The hydrangeas burst into a kaleidoscope of colors, illuminating the entire park. Well-maintained walking paths wind through the park, allowing visitors to enjoy the hydrangeas at their leisure. These paths are gently sloped, making them accessible for families with young children. At the summit, a grassy plaza provides a perfect spot for relaxation and picnics. Nearby, an observation deck offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Fuji River and Nanbu-chō. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji, adding to the stunning scenery.
