This beautiful beach on Tokunoshima Island is surrounded by white sand and coral reefs.
The contrast of the blue sky, white sand, and emerald green sea creates a truly tropical resort atmosphere.
The gentle waves make it safe for children to play, and it's also perfect for water sports such as snorkeling and diving.
Snorkeling is especially recommended. You can get very close to the coral reefs and see a variety of colorful tropical fish and coral up close.
A short walk from the beach will take you to an observation deck offering panoramic views of the vast Pacific Ocean.
It was named "Prince Beach" after a visit by Their Imperial Highnesses the Crown Prince and Princess in 1972 (Showa 47).
You can also enjoy camping at the adjacent Age Campground, which is equipped with cooking facilities and toilets.
Be sure to visit Age Prince Beach Seaside Park when you visit Tokunoshima Island.
