The approximately 1km stretch of pine forest contrasting with the white sand beach is strikingly beautiful, earning its place among Japan's Top 100 Beaches. The ancient pine grove, originally planted in the early Edo period as a windbreak for Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine, boasts numerous old pine trees over 600 years old, their majestic presence calming and inspiring visitors.
