Tainohama Beach

Overview

Tainohama Beach is a stunning sandy beach in Minami-cho, Tokushima Prefecture, chosen as one of Japan's 'Best Beaches for Swimming'. Facing the Pacific Ocean, with Benoshima Island directly in view and rocky outcrops to the east and west, the waves are calm. Its excellent water quality and shallow waters make it ideal for swimming. The clear blue sea and white sand truly evoke the atmosphere of a tropical resort. Tainohama Beach is also incredibly accessible, located just a short walk from Tainohama Station (temporary station) on the JR Mugi Line. A temporary station, Tainohama Station, is set up on the JR Mugi Line during the swimming season. Car access is also excellent, with ample parking available.
