Access
5-minute walk from Beppu Station on the JR Niyō Line. From Oita Airport, it's about a 40-minute bus ride to Beppu Onsen. From Kitakyushu Airport, it's about a 90-minute express bus ride. From Fukuoka Airport International Terminal, it's about a 2-hour express bus ride. By car: From Fukuoka, take the Oita Expressway and then the Higashikyushu Expressway to Beppu IC, and use Prefectural Road 52. From Kitakyushu, take the Higashikyushu Expressway to Beppu IC and use Prefectural Road 52 or National Route 10. From Kumamoto, use the Yamanami Highway (Prefectural Road 11). By sea: The Beppu International Tourist Port is served by ferries from Osaka Nankaiko Port (ferry “Sanfurawaa”) and Yawatahama Port in Ehime Prefecture (Uwajima Transport ferry). It's a 10-minute bus ride from the port to the Beppu city center (Kitahama). Show route
