Mount Racey Ski Resort is located in Yubari City, Hokkaido. With excellent access, it's approximately 55km from New Chitose Airport and about 60km from Sapporo city, making it easily accessible for a day trip.
The slopes boast a maximum run length of 3,500m and a maximum incline of 45°, offering an exceptional powder snow experience. Its diverse course layout caters to skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts, and features gentle slopes for families, children's ski schools, and playgrounds.
The stunning snow scenery and natural surroundings provide the perfect setting for a winter adventure.
Mount Racey Ski Resort was formerly operated by Yubari Resort, but is now managed by Yubari Resort Operation.
Yubari City once thrived on its coal mining industry, but experienced decline from the 1990s onward, culminating in financial bankruptcy in 2007. Mount Racey Ski Resort posed a significant financial burden on the city's recovery efforts.
However, recent renovations to the ski resort and improvements to surrounding facilities have led to a resurgence in tourism.
Mount Racey Ski Resort is expected to continue its growth as a symbol of Yubari City's revitalization.
