Located in northern Hyogo Prefecture, Hachi-Hachikita Kogen Ski Resort is Kansai's largest ski resort, comprising two distinct areas—Hachi and Hachi-Kita—with a grand total of 25 courses and slopes. Hachi Kogen is characterized by its wide, open central slopes and peaceful tree-lined courses perfect for leisurely cruising. Notably, "The Parks," produced by HYWOD and stretching along the central pair lift, is renowned as Kansai's largest snow park. Hachi-Kita Kogen, on the other hand, boasts dynamic runs that utilize the natural terrain, such as the Sky Road offering magnificent views from the summit of Mt. Hachibuse, the Nature Zone where you can enjoy fresh powder after a snowfall, and the challenging North Face with its continuous mogul runs. The dedicated "Beginner's Area" is also popular, providing a safe environment for new skiers and snowboarders to practice with confidence.
Both ski resorts are interconnected via the summit of Mt. Hachibuse with a common lift ticket. Standing at the summit, a breathtaking 360° panoramic view unfolds, and the longest cruising run in Kansai stretches an impressive 4,000 meters from the peak to the base. Kids' Parks are also fully equipped in both areas, allowing even the youngest children to safely enjoy playing in the snow. Access is superb, with a travel time of approximately 2.5 hours from the Keihanshin (Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe) area via the Kitakinki Toyooka Expressway. This truly is an ideal snow resort where you can indulge in skiing, snowboarding, snow play, and stunning scenery amidst the beautiful winter nature. Early bird lift tickets and season passes for the 25-26 season are already available, so don't miss the chance for great deals.
