Iox Arosa is a ski resort built on the east slope of Oku-Iōzan (elevation 939m) in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture. Partnered with Arosa, Switzerland, it boasts a sophisticated European atmosphere and offers various amenities, including cottages and a chapel, setting it apart from typical Japanese ski resorts.
The slopes are vertically arranged, allowing for a thrilling 3,100-meter-long cruise. Courses cater to various skill levels, from challenging steep slopes for advanced skiers and snowboarders to gentler slopes for beginners. A cross-country skiing course is also available, and it's converted into a mountain biking course during the snowless season.
From the top of the slopes, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Sanju-mura dispersed villages in the Toyama Plain. During the off-season, the spacious parking lot hosts numerous motorsports events.
Iox Arosa offers more than just skiing and snowboarding; it's a captivating resort where you can immerse yourself in the majestic natural beauty. Be sure to visit when you're in Toyama Prefecture.
