Access: Car: Approximately 20 minutes from the An'nai Interchange or Matsuo-Hachimantai Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway. Train: JR East Hanamagari Line - Appi Kogen Station. Approximately 60 minutes from Morioka Station. Shuttle buses from Appi Kogen Station are not available; utilize the shuttle services provided by individual facilities. Local Bus (winter season only, no reservation required): Iwateken Kita Bus Morioka Station West Exit - Appi Kogen (approximately 60 minutes) During the 2023-24 season, the first uphill bus on specific days will pass through the Hachimantai area (Hachimantai Onsenkyo, Hachimantai Heights, Hachimantai Mountain Hotel) on its way to Morioka. Iwateken Kita Bus "APPI Airport Liner": Iwate Hanamaki Airport - Appi Kogen (approximately 90 minutes) Reserved Charter Bus: Operated by Appi Travel Co., Ltd., with buses provided by E&T Co., Ltd., and others.
