To get close to the waterfall, you'll need to walk along a walking path.
There are some sections with uneven terrain, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

Located in Beppu City, Otobari no Taki is a magnificent waterfall consisting of two falls, the O-taki (male waterfall) and the Me-taki (female waterfall), nestled in the midsection of Funahara-yama mountain on the south side of Tsurumi-dake mountain.
The O-taki boasts a drop of approximately 60 meters, while the Me-taki has a drop of approximately 30 meters, offering a spectacular view.
Visitors can descend to the base of the falls to experience the thunderous roar of the water up close.
Well-maintained walking paths surround the falls, perfect for a relaxing stroll and a refreshing forest bath.
A portion of the falls is even visible from Beppu Rakutenchi, making it a convenient stop during your sightseeing.
