Yamabuki Suigen

Yamabuki Suigen is a water source nestled in the abundant nature of Unzen Village, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture. This spring is one of Kumamoto Prefecture's 100 best water sources, with a remarkable flow of 30 tons of water per minute. The water is exceptionally clear, and the reflection of the trees on the surface is like a painting. The water temperature remains a constant 13.5℃, providing a refreshing coolness even in summer, making it an ideal place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The spring is a pleasant 10-minute walk from the parking lot, and the trail through the primeval forest offers a delightful stroll with dappled sunlight and the sounds of birdsong. Nearby attractions include Ikeno Suigen spring and Ogi Tanada rice terraces, allowing for a full day of leisurely exploration.
