Shiroyama Green Park

Overview

Shiroyama Green Park is a beautiful park nestled in the abundant nature of Yahatanishi Ward, Kitakyushu City. This small hill, reaching 64 meters in elevation, is home to approximately 300 Someiyoshino cherry trees. From the summit, you can enjoy sweeping views of Mount Sarakura and Donghai Bay. In spring, the park is awash in a breathtaking display of cherry blossoms. At night, the park transforms once more, showcasing the mesmerizing beauty of the factory night views, offering a completely different atmosphere from daytime. Well-maintained walking paths make it ideal for leisurely strolls or invigorating walks. Shiroyama Green Park also holds historical significance as the former site of Kurosaki Castle. Built in the early Edo period by the Kuroda clan, the castle was later abandoned in the Meiji period. Today, parts of the castle ruins are preserved as historical sites within the park.
