Himi City Seaside Park, formerly known as Himi City Kaihin Shokubutsuen (Himi City Coastal Plant Garden), is a botanical garden in Himi City, Toyama Prefecture, specializing in coastal plants. The expansive 6.4-hectare grounds feature display gardens, greenhouses, a glass tube, and a coastal promenade garden where you can observe a variety of plants. The park also boasts a range of playground equipment for children, making it a fun destination for the whole family. Situated along the beautiful Matsudaegahama beach, once celebrated by Otomo no Yakamochi as 'Matsudae no Nagahama,' you can fully enjoy the natural surroundings. A major renovation in 2021 led to its current nickname, 'Seaside Park.' With various events held throughout the year, there's always something to enjoy, no matter when you visit.
