Konkai Komyo-ji Temple is a principal temple of the Jodo sect, founded in 1175 by Honen. Known as the family temple of Aizu clan lord Matsudaira Katamori, the temple grounds include a cemetery for Aizu samurai. It's also a popular filming location for movies and TV dramas.
