Awaji Jinja Shrine is located in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture. It's the Ichinomiya shrine of Awa Province, with a history tracing back over 2,670 years. It enshrines Amenotomi no Mikoto, the tutelary deity of Awa Province. His son, Amenofutodama no Mikoto, is considered the god who created Japan's industries, and both have been the object of people's faith since ancient times.
