Hino Sukemasa was a warrior active from the late Kamakura period to the Nanboku-cho period, and an ancestor of the Shimazu clan. Daizenbo was a retainer who served Hino Sukemasa.
It's said that the Shimazu clan established Daizen Shrine to enshrine Hino Sukemasa and Daizenbo.
