The enshrined deities of Usa Jingu Shrine are Hachiman-ō-kami (Emperor Ōjin), Himegami (the three goddesses of Munakata), and Empress Jingū.
Hachiman-ō-kami is revered as the god of martial arts, industry, and sea protection, while Himegami is worshipped as the goddess of matchmaking and safe sea voyages. Empress Jingū, the mother of Emperor Ōjin, is worshipped as a sea guardian deity.
