INFO
◆Please cooperate with walking on the left side. The highlight of the Kokonoe Yume Otsurihashi (Kokonoe Dream Big Suspension Bridge) is the magnificent view of the "Shindo-no-taki" (trembling waterfall) and the "Otaki" (male waterfall) and the "Mesudaki" (female waterfall), which are also selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, spreading upstream of the suspension bridge. If you walk on the right side, the waterfall will be on your right side as you walk, making you have to turn around to see it and causing collisions and congestion with other visitors. (When approaching from the Nakamura area. From the Hokubu area, it is visible on the left side of the walking direction.) Therefore, to ensure safe and smooth passage, we kindly ask that you walk on the "left side". We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. ◆Please be careful of your footing. Since the walkway has a grating structure (*), please use walking sticks with a large diameter. Also, please be careful when walking in high heels or other footwear with thin heels. Please be especially careful when entering with infants. (*) Grating = Lattice-shaped metal floor plate ◆About bringing pets Bringing pets onto the bridge is not permitted. Pets can be temporarily left at the tourist information center in the Nakamura area and the ticket office in the Hokubu area. Please speak to a staff member if you wish to use this service. ◆Other ・Walking with an umbrella is prohibited. Please bring a raincoat. (They are also sold at the shops.) ・Smoking is prohibited on the bridge. Please use the designated smoking area.
