Known as a place where Soseki immersed himself in literature, he described his life in Kumamoto in his diary as a "dark age of his literary life," noting that his writing progress was slow. However, his Kumamoto experience is believed to have significantly influenced his literary works. The former residence recreates Soseki's study and bedroom, offering a glimpse into his daily life.
