Kawaichi Fuji Garden is a privately owned wisteria garden located in Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, renowned for its stunning wisteria blossoms. The owner's years of dedicated cultivation have resulted in a truly awe-inspiring display! During peak season, from late April to mid-May, around 22 varieties of wisteria burst into bloom, creating a breathtaking spectacle. The two wisteria tunnels, one 80 meters and the other 110 meters long, are an absolute must-see! A mesmerizing gradient of light purple, white, and pink blossoms creates a dreamlike atmosphere. Walking through the tunnels, you'll be enveloped in a sweet fragrance, feeling completely immersed in the beauty of the flowers. From mid-November to early December, approximately 700 maple trees put on a vibrant show, painting the garden in fiery reds and yellows. The maple tunnel is also a highlight during this season! Note that the paths are on a steep incline, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
