Ashizuri Kaiteikan (Underwater Observatory)

Ashizuri Kaiteikan is Shikoku's only underwater observatory, located in the Ryugu Coastal Park in Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture. Opened in 1972, this rare facility in Japan allows visitors to enjoy the magnificent Pacific Ocean and beautiful underwater scenery from both its above-ground and underwater observation rooms. From the above-ground observatory, you can take in the stunning views of the endless blue ocean and sky, and even watch the sunset dip below the horizon.
