Overview

Washuzan Observatory is a renowned scenic spot located in Shimotsui Tanoura, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, within the Setonaikai National Park. Situated near the summit of Mount Washuzan, it's also designated as a Place of Scenic Beauty. Mount Washuzan is said to be named after its resemblance to a spread eagle's wings.
