The Izumo Cultural Heritage Museum opened in 1991 to showcase the rich history and culture of the Izumo region. The grounds feature the relocated main house and gatehouse of the Ekasuka family, wealthy farmers from the Edo period, offering a glimpse into their lives. The "Dokurakuan" tea room, favored by Matsudaira Fumai, is designated as an Important Cultural Property and captivates visitors with its elegant atmosphere. The "Shoraitei" tea room, a modern Sukiya-style structure, provides a tranquil space where you can appreciate the sounds of nature.
