Matsue Vogel Park is a flower and bird theme park that opened on July 23, 2001. The vast 32-hectare site includes one of the world's largest exhibition greenhouses, an owl center, a waterfowl pond, and various other facilities. Inside the park, events where you can interact with birds, such as penguin walks and owl flight shows, are held daily, making it enjoyable for children and adults alike. In addition, the park is designed to be barrier-free, so you can enjoy it with peace of mind even with wheelchairs or strollers. For history buffs, the soba restaurant "Fumai-an" is recommended. Here, you can taste "Fukucho Fumai Soba," which is a reproduction of the soba set meal served to Harusato Matsudaira, the 7th lord of the Matsue domain, when he visited Oku-Izumo. Various events are held throughout the year, so you'll always find something new to discover no matter when you visit.
