The Lake Biwa Flower Fountain, completed in 1995 as part of the Hamaotsu Comprehensive Development Project, is one of Lake Biwa's iconic tourist attractions. Located 180 meters offshore from Otsu Port at the southern end of Lake Biwa, this massive fountain stretches approximately 440 meters long and reaches a maximum height of about 40 meters. Its horizontal length is among the largest in the world. The ever-changing fountain show, with its variations throughout the day, captivates visitors.
