Tsuruma Park

Overview

Tsuruma Park is an urban park located in Showa-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. Opened in 1928, it spans approximately 105 hectares, making it one of the largest parks in Nagoya. The park offers a wide variety of attractions, including rose gardens, a fountain tower, tennis courts, traditional Japanese gardens, and playgrounds, ensuring a full day of enjoyment. The fountain tower, a symbol of Tsuruma Park, was built in 1930 and stands approximately 40 meters tall. At night, it's beautifully illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere. The park also boasts a stunning rose garden, ablaze with a vibrant array of colors and intoxicating fragrances in the spring. Famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot, Tsuruma Park attracts many visitors in spring. Approximately 100 cherry trees are planted throughout the park, painting the landscape in a breathtaking pink hue when in full bloom.
