Atagawa Tropical & Alligator Garden, located in Higashiizu-cho, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a zoo specializing in crocodiles and tropical plants. It proudly boasts the world's largest collection of crocodile species, housing approximately 140 crocodiles of 17 different kinds. Not only is the variety of crocodiles unparalleled, but the sheer number of individuals is also top-class in Japan, making it a paradise for crocodile enthusiasts. The garden features exhibition corners where you can learn about crocodile ecology, and even opportunities to participate in crocodile feeding experiences.
