Access: Approximately 15 minutes by Gifu Bus from JR Gifu Station, get off at Gifu Park/History Museum stop, then a 3-minute walk. Hiking up from Gifu Park is also possible. Normally, access is via the Kinka-san Ropeway. Show route

INFO: Access to the castle keep is via ropeway or on foot. The ropeway station is about a 15-minute walk from Gifu Park. From the ropeway station, it's about a 10-minute walk to the castle keep. There are many attractions around Gifu Castle, including Gifu Park and the Nagara River, so be sure to explore them as well!

Gifu Castle is a mountain castle located in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture, built on the summit of Mount Kinka, 329 meters above sea level. Its history stretches back to 1532 during the Muromachi period, when it was constructed by Saito Dosan. Later, Oda Nobunaga took control of Gifu Castle, making it a crucial base in his quest for nationwide unification.
