Gifu City Tower 43 is a 43-story skyscraper located in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. Standing at 162.82m, it's the tallest building in Gifu Prefecture. Inspired by the 'well' (井 - i) in the old Gifu place name 'Inokuchi', the tower features a central atrium. Its exterior design mimics a cormorant fishing boat, and the horizontal lines of its facade are a motif of Gifu lanterns, incorporating design elements that evoke the essence of Gifu. Opened on October 13, 2007, it has become an iconic symbol of Gifu City. The 43rd floor boasts a free observation deck offering stunning panoramic views of Gifu City, Mount Kinka, and the Nagara River.
