The Lake Kawaguchiko Fuji Panorama Ropeway connects Lake Kawaguchiko to the summit of Tenjozan Mountain at an elevation of 1,074m.
Completed in July 1959, it has been a beloved attraction for many tourists.
Tenjozan Mountain is also known as the setting for Dazai Osamu's novel "Kachikachiyama," and you'll find numerous tanuki (raccoon dog) and rabbit figurines throughout the ropeway and at the summit.

Tanuki Chaya sells grilled dango (dumplings) over charcoal fire and souvenirs related to Mount Fuji and Kachikachiyama.
Usagi Jinja is a shrine dedicated to the rabbit from the folktale "Kachikachiyama," where you can pray for the safety and well-being of hikers and tourists.
