The Toyama City Hall Observation Tower is a free observation deck located on the 8th floor of Toyama City Hall. Popular as a stunning spot offering a panoramic view of Toyama City from approximately 70 meters above ground, it provides a 360-degree panorama. On a clear day, you can even see the Tateyama mountain range and Toyama Bay.
From the observation tower, you can enjoy not only the beautiful cityscape of Toyama but also experience its history and culture. Besides major landmarks such as Toyama Castle and the Kan-sui Park, you can simultaneously appreciate the vastness of Toyama Bay and the grandeur of the Tateyama mountain range.
Free telescopes and multilingual audio guides are available at the observation deck. Use the telescopes for a closer look at distant scenery, and the audio guides to learn more about what you see.
As the tower is located on the 8th floor of Toyama City Hall, you can also explore parts of the building itself. You might see a citizens' gallery or meeting rooms, giving you a glimpse into the workings of Toyama City Hall.
