Bicycles are prohibited. The bridge can be quite windy, so it's recommended to keep hats and other loose items secured in a bag. Also, be aware that the bridge may sway when large vehicles pass.
The Rainbow Bridge is known as a symbol of Tokyo, but did you know you can actually walk across it? The approximately 1700m promenade is divided into two routes, north and south, each offering unique perspectives. The north route provides panoramic views of Tokyo's skyscrapers, Tokyo Tower, and Skytree. The south route offers stunning vistas of Odaiba, Tokyo Bay, and even Mount Fuji on a clear day.
Sunset is particularly magical. The sky turns a breathtaking pink, and the reflection of the setting sun on the water, combined with the city lights, creates a truly unforgettable scene. As night falls, the Rainbow Bridge and surrounding buildings are illuminated, transforming the landscape into a dazzling spectacle of light, quite different from the daytime view.
The promenade is perfect for couples, families, or even a solo stroll. This extraordinary experience of walking across the bridge will surely create a lasting memory.
