Access
3-minute walk from JR Kashima Line Cho-shi Station. Accessible via highway bus (Kashima-go) from JR Tokyo Station, Narita Airport, and Haneda Airport, getting off at Suigo-Cho-shi Busterminal. Approx. 10-minute taxi ride from the terminal. Available via the "Ayame-go" bus operated by Michinoeki Itako (4 departures daily). Approximately 5-minute ride on the Kanto Railway's inter-municipal bus route connecting Namegata, Cho-shi, and Kashima cities (service started May 21, 2016). During the Iris Festival, additional temporary services are available (based on 2016 schedule, subject to yearly variations): Temporary buses run from Suigo-Cho-shi Busterminal to Cho-shi Station every 30 minutes (operated by Michinoeki Itako). JR operates a limited express train, the "Ayame Matsuri-go," from Tokyo. Pleasure boat services from Tsuchiura Port (10-minute walk from Tsuchiura Station) are available on weekends only (one morning departure from Tsuchiura Port and one afternoon departure from Suigo Cho-shi Ayame Garden).
