Itabashi Fudo-son is a historic temple established in the early Edo period, in Keicho 14 (1609). Its founder was Nichiren Shonin, a Buddhist priest of the Nichiren sect. When Nichiren Shonin visited Itabashi, he decided to enshrine Fudo Myoo here. Itabashi Fudo-son subsequently developed into a power spot that garnered the faith of the local community.
Itabashi Fudo-son is said to offer blessings of protection from evil, good fortune, and good health, attracting many worshippers. The principal image of Fudo Myoo is known for its majestic presence and the power to grant people's wishes. The temple grounds are also full of attractions, including a beautiful garden, a bell tower, and a Niomon gate.
The garden is filled with flowers blooming throughout the four seasons, offering solace to visitors. The bell tower boasts a heavy, dignified structure with the air of ancient wood. The Niomon gate stands at the entrance to the temple, showcasing its imposing presence.
