The Hideyo Noguchi Memorial Hall was founded to commemorate the life and achievements of Hideyo Noguchi, a world-renowned medical scientist. The museum displays his childhood home and materials related to his research, allowing visitors to reflect on his accomplishments. In particular, the house where he lived as a child has been preserved as it was, including the irori where he was burned at the age of one and a half, and the pillar on which he carved his determination when he left for Tokyo, which inspires visitors. The museum also features interactive exhibits, making it enjoyable for children and adults alike to learn. It's a valuable place to gain a deeper understanding of Hideyo Noguchi's life and connect with his spirit. The adjacent Infectious Disease Museum provides a more detailed look at the world of bacteria that Noguchi studied.
