Bus: ・50-minute ride on the Shonai Kotsu bus bound for Haguroyama from Tsuruoka Station (get off at the last stop). ・To reach the summit via the Zuishinmon gate and stone steps, or to visit the national treasure Haguroyama Goju-no-to (five-storied pagoda), take the same bus and get off at "Haguro Zuishinmon". Car: ・Approximately 40 minutes from the Shonai Asahi IC of the Yamagata Expressway to the summit, and about 30 minutes to the Zuishinmon gate. ・Approximately 30 minutes from JR Tsuruoka Station to the summit, and about 20 minutes to the Zuishinmon gate. ・Approximately 45 minutes from Shonai Airport to the summit, and about 35 minutes to the Zuishinmon gate.
