Houmei Shijuhachitaki is a series of waterfalls located in Sakunami, Aoba-ku, Sendai, upstream of the Hirose River. As its name suggests, it's a collection of waterfalls of varying sizes, said to be named after the sound of their water, which resembles the cry of a phoenix.
