Asahiyama Memorial Park

Overview

Asahiyama Memorial Park, located in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, was created as part of the Sapporo City 100th Anniversary Commemorative Project. Situated midway between Moiwa-yama and Maruyama, the park features walking paths winding through open spaces and forests, centered around a 137.5m observation deck. From the observation platform, you can enjoy panoramic views of Sapporo city and the distant mountains. During the day, admire the cityscape and lush greenery, while at night, be captivated by the sparkling night view. The park offers a space for enjoyment for both children and adults, with a playground, fountain square, and grassy areas. A nature trail, the "Moiwa-yama Route," is also available for hiking enthusiasts. Every summer, the park hosts the 'Sapporo Asahiyama Music Festival,' attracting numerous music lovers.
